Start with a skeleton
Every big build starts with Stone. Because stone never moves, it is the frame of your world. Sketch the outline first: towers, floors, tunnels and rooms. Think of it like drawing with a pencil before painting.
Control the flow
The coolest builds use liquids in clever ways. A castle moat needs walls that hold water in. An underground lava trap needs a stone funnel that guides the lava exactly where you want it. Build channels and gates out of stone, then release your liquids and watch them follow the paths you designed. If something leaks — patch it and try again. Real engineers do exactly the same!
Add life and danger
A castle is boring without a garden, so plant seeds in the courtyard. Add wood beams inside the halls, oil lamps in the towers… and maybe one tiny spark of fire somewhere, if you are feeling brave. The mix of peaceful and dangerous elements is what makes a build feel alive.
The demolition ceremony
Here is a secret every Sandspiel player knows: destroying your build is half the fun. When your masterpiece is complete and admired, pick your favorite ending — a lava flood, an acid rain, a slow burial in sand — and enjoy the show. Then press Clear and start something even bigger.
